While it doesn't really matter for other categories, this one has to start from a clean save file (all 3 pipes empty) because having data written to other save games affects the topology and behavior of the out-of-bounds area.
Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops when the screen goes from bright to dark after entering Pumpkin Zone 1 with the credits warp glitch active.
